Chitrangda Singh to be the new item queen?

The dusky beauty will be seen doing more item numbers

Though Chitrangda Singh started off as the poster girl of indie cinema, with Rohit Dhawan’s Desi Boyz, she went totally commercial. It helped that the film worked well at the BO and soon she was flooded with offers to do mainstream Bollywood films. It’s another story that she hasn’t jumped at any offers and signed films just for the heck of it. For now she is doing I Me Aur Main, in which she shares screen-space with John Abraham. We were amused when we first heard that she is doing an item number in Shirish Kunder’s Akshay Kumar-Sonakshi Sinha-starrer, Joker. Apparently she is open to doing more item numbers in the near future. Here’s what she said in a recent interview, “Yes, but I am going to be really choosy about doing such special numbers, so I am considering a few offers but haven’t signed on anything yet. My concern is that they have to be aesthetically done, so they can be sexy, but not lewd or vulgar.” Wethinks she is doing the right thing by not doing everything that comes her way and we hope she continues to be the classy diva, that she has always been.
